Clini-Derma Ottawa Inc. is a Canadian dermatology and clinical research site supported by a team consisting of one Principal Investigator & four Sub-Investigators with strong academic, clinical, and research backgrounds. The investigator team includes physicians affiliated with major academic institutions and tertiary care centers in Ottawa, supporting both clinical care and research activities. Collectively, the team brings experience across Phase I to Phase IV clinical trials, including both industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies.

Clini-Derma Ottawa provides full-site capabilities to support the efficient execution of Phase I to Phase IV clinical trials. Our operational structure ensures adherence to GCP, ICH, and Health Canada regulations, with oversight across all aspects of study conduct, including patient recruitment, screening, safety monitoring, data collection, and study close-out. The site integrates clinical care with research workflows, enabling ongoing identification of eligible participants and consistent protocol execution.
With a strong academic foundation, documented clinical trial experience across all phases, and a dedicated research team with recent GCP certification, Clini-Derma Ottawa is committed to providing sponsors and CRO partners with a reliable, compliant, and patient-centered research environment.
Clini-Derma Ottawa operates from a >3,000 square foot clinical facility, including >1,000 square feet dedicated to research activities. The site includes 16 fully equipped examination rooms with EMR integration, as well as a dedicated procedure room for dermatologic surgery and biopsies. Standard dermatologic equipment includes cryotherapy and electrocautery systems. The site also contains a Mohs lab.
The site maintains secure investigational product storage, including temperature-monitored refrigeration (2–8°C), freezer storage (–20°C), and controlled ambient storage, supported by continuous temperature logging systems. Additional infrastructure includes centrifuge capability for sample processing, secure storage for regulatory and source documentation, and a designated workspace for study coordinators and sponsor or CRO monitoring visits. The site also provides both wired and wireless internet access and a dedicated workspace for monitoring activities.
The facility is located approximately 4.4 km from The Ottawa Hospital (General Campus), supporting access to tertiary care services and specialist referral pathways.
Clini-Derma Ottawa supports over 10,000 patient visits annually and maintains an active dermatology database of over 20,000 patients, including both adult and pediatric populations. The site serves a diverse patient population within the Ottawa region, enabling recruitment across a broad range of dermatologic conditions.
The clinic benefits from an established referral network and clinical affiliations with major institutions, including The Ottawa Hospital and the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario. This network supports efficient patient identification and referral across key therapeutic areas, including psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, acne, alopecia, chronic urticaria, and skin cancer.
In addition, the integration of clinical care and research within the site allows for ongoing identification of potential study participants during routine visits, supporting efficient screening and enrollment.
Clini-Derma Ottawa combines a team of five Principal Investigators, documented experience across all clinical trial phases, and a 3,000 square foot facility with dedicated research infrastructure. With 16 exam rooms, an active patient base exceeding 20,000 individuals, and proximity to major tertiary care centers, the site is well-positioned to support efficient recruitment and high-quality clinical trial execution.
