Dr. Mary Thomas is a triple board-certified dermatologist and the Founder and Medical Director of Central Alberta Dermatology in Red Deer, Alberta. Known for her patient-centered approach and dedication to delivering exceptional care, Dr. Thomas has over a decade of clinical expertise in managing complex dermatological conditions, including psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurativa, and skin cancer. She is particularly recognized for her specialization in skin of color dermatology.

Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Thomas is a dedicated researcher with a strong focus on advancing dermatological science and patient care through innovative therapies. Dr. Thomas holds leadership positions in several esteemed organizations. She is a board member of the International Society of Dermatology and serves on committees within the Skin of Color Society, the Women’s Dermatologic Society, and the American Academy of Dermatology, further emphasizing her commitment to advancing the field on a global scale.

Recently, Dr. Thomas joined Probity Medical Research as a clinical investigator. In this role, she leads the Central Alberta Dermatology site in conducting clinical trials focused on dermatology, bringing cutting-edge treatments and research opportunities to her patients.
