Dermatologist

Dr. Ilya Mukovozov is a Canadian and American board-certified dermatologist. He completed his Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) at McMaster University, followed by an MD/PhD degree at the University of Toronto. His doctoral research, completed at the Hospital for Sick Children Research Institute, focused on inflammatory signaling pathways involved in immune cell function and vascular inflammation. He subsequently completed his dermatology residency training at the University of British Columbia, where he served as Chief Resident during his internship year. Dr. Mukovozov is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) and a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology (DABD).

Dr. Mukovozov currently practices at Toronto Dermatology Centre in North York and MapleDerm in Vaughan, Ontario. His clinical practice encompasses a broad spectrum of dermatologic conditions including psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurativa, acne, rosacea, vitiligo, skin cancer, contact dermatitis, and general dermatology. His clinical interests include inflammatory dermatologic diseases, biologic and systemic therapies, hidradenitis suppurativa, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, cutaneous oncology, photoprotection, and evidence-based approaches to dermatologic care.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Mukovozov is a Lecturer in the Department of Medicine, Division of Dermatology at the University of Toronto and a Clinical Associate with the Division of Dermatology at Women’s College Hospital. He is actively involved in dermatology research and has authored more than 120 peer-reviewed publications, including systematic reviews, clinical studies, and translational research articles across a wide range of dermatologic conditions. His research has been presented nationally and internationally, and he has received research awards and competitive funding, including support from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). He currently serves as Associate Editor for the Journal of Cutaneous Medicine & Surgery. Dr. Mukovozov is passionate about advancing dermatologic knowledge through clinical research, medical education, and mentorship.
